the problem is that the letters edges aren't sharp and straight. funny how all those that haven't tried it say it must be easy but the guys that have say it's a real pain in the arse... :nea:

back when i had some, i just painted the caliper and ran some fine sandpaper over the lettering and instead of white writing it was silver/ metal colour

cbf painting little letters
looked good too

Fair enough, i'll be in the same boat soon i guess..

BTW, i really like the Blue/White combo... better than the usual red or black/white combos that is over done.

yeah i mean of course it can be done but i'm lazy and inpatient which aren’t good traits to have when it comes to these kinds of intricate jobs lol.

And the FOZ. Notice how the later models actually have a flat surface and a decal rather than the raised letters which makes it a bit easier...

another option..1. place caliper in vice file the surface smooth 2. paint caliper 3. buy sticker off e-bay

I painted the caliper, lightly rubbed where it was raised, painted the SUBARU with touch-up paint (had one of those tiny brushes on it) then clear coated the lot.

2002 Outback - it's gone...
