So.... I was researching different tyre brands on teh interwebs and stumbled into a little site called aussiemagna.com

Ummmm BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAaaaaaaaafffftftffffffsheeeet.

Apart from there being the odd evo on the site, talk about a site full of noobness and stoogeness!

If you feel like a chuckle, check out the "Members Machines" section:
http://www.aussiemag...isplay.php?f=45

So many of them talking about how sick their 146kW ATF is. There's pod filters, neons, stezreoz, painted plastikz, debadgingz EVERYTHING that makes a Magna so much more hectickz - Oh, I believe it's where interwebz AIDS was developed.

give them a break, some people are less fortunate and dont have the money to afford more expensive/luxurious/fast cars. they simply have to put up with what they have and this is what makes them happy! regardless of the money issue its their personal choice i think its poor form for you lot to be bagging them out. it's not like me to be this serious but come on guys...

Alexxx is right guys. All good to poke fun at ridiculous things. But don't give them stick just because its a Magna. Remember, If you are going to laugh at someone else, you have to be able to laugh at yourself as well.

I think you guys need to get off yer soap boxes!!! I wasn't indicating that their cars are crap, or that they are from a lower socio economic stature... I actually had a magna as a company car at one point and quite enjoyed driving it. Purely ponting out that they are doing stupid mods on cars that have never been known for their prowess on the tuner circuit. Therefore - aussiemagna is hella funny.

Some of the things are pretty funny. A 3.5" catback exhaust for instance. I also LOL'd at the Sigma garnish. I didn't realise the magna was called a Sigma else where. Some of the interior jobs are pretty ordinary.

2) our awd system actually works

Not really. Tested it on the dyno - it's about 70% front, 30% rear.

That's for the Auto during low load applications Tangy. Load = Center diff clutches lock and you have a 40-60 split.

Not seen that before, that was excellent.

Clarence, I thought the AWD system in say, my car - or the older WRX's (manual) were 50/50 split?

Edit:

That's for the Auto during low load applications Tangy.

Load = Center diff clutches lock and you have a 40-60 split.

I've also read automatic's were different again. I have read that automatics are 95front 5% rear in places, too.

I don't think they're 50/50 mate. I'll have to hunt around to confirm. But i believe they're 40/60. The Auto's supposedly run 90/10 when just cruising down a high way. But when you accelerate the center diff locks up (In my car you can feel the thud as it does so.) and the ratio changes to 40/60. IIRC in anycase.

gen3 was 90/10 - gen4 was *meant to be* 45/55, on the dyno right towards the end of the run it shifted to 59/41 so that was closer. In any case - I've been beached before going up a driveway in the wet, the rears didn't quite give me a push to get off it, I felt like a lowly inferior two-wheel-drive vehicle :(

magna in the US is called a dimante (sp).. people chage the garnish much like other changing between liberty/legacy Also, the rally art/vr-x chops quite hard.. for what it is (A mate has one). Although the stupid thing is, thier AWD magna is an auto only!
