Walts; I keep a phone for the whole contract, then update. People think I'm a sucker - "call and complain, get a new one" - it's not broken, and I'm with Telstra... tell me, who the skillionairerules wants to call Telstra if not out of last resort necessity type 'ish?

SociallyDisabled: Because if it's dual core, you can say it's like two apple phones.

dual cores, and you still can't achieve a lot of what a fruit can.

like a nice and smooth GUI. Inefficient OS :empathy3:

like comparing an apple to a double battered and deep fried meat pie.

morning peoples.

See I don't even know what a GUI is - I'd like to keep it that way.

Because I use my phone as a phone. I understand that a lot of you blokes want your phone to do your dishes and be your missus, stick blender and chainsaw service manual - but that's just not me.

I'm getting a bit tin foil hat on gadget dependence amongst people.

Everyone is connected, but noone is connected to each other. The art of conversation is quickly dying. Popularity can FINALLY be measured by our online account interaction - how many friends do YOU have? - people sit on the computer in a room with other people in it, barely hearing what they're saying... because they're 'talking' to people on their phone/computer - whatever.

I would LOVE to make MDSC a mobile phone/internet free weekend. I think after the initial grumbling, and the nerdAholics sneaking away to the toilets with their router, people would figure out that life isn't so bad without gadgets.

True, unless you're on nextG it's a pretty weak signal out here.

Me too. I was with vodafail, now with Telstra NextG. Love it.

In fact, I can hardly recall a time where I had poor reception. Maybe deep in an underground carpark. But that's it.

I agree on your sentiments wholeheartedly Nikasaurus,

Technology sucks on the wang sometimes, especially when it starts to encroach on our interactive ways in life and society.

I met Daim when he came to Perth, nerdy looking ranga bloke. We had organised to go painting, but the dude was so much more interested in catching a bus to Albany to see some whales, was cool to meet the bloke though. Shot the breeze through a language barrier, Seak was here too. Very cool.

Daim does big things...

Might cost a bit to get him to paint your bedroom!
