The reputation is worse than the drive. I actually like how it drives but hate being associated with the dickhead rep.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Its the dickhead rep that puts me off them.

They go hard, they have some turbo lag though, the older ones anyway. I notice it in my mates, stock with the TD04. But you will get that with any older single turbo car. Once it starts pulling, very nice and fun car to drive.

Cant' say i've ever been bitten by the lag yet. Maybe it's the 2.5L that's pulled me out of the shit but I honestly don't think it's that bad.

Certainly not as bad as having to adjust for the B4 twins.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Chainsaw Alex,

I loved driving the Evo 9. Had innnnnnnnsannnneeee boost at high revs.

But I've only driven the group N rally version. Not sure about the road one. But it had lots of lag, but I can never forget the pull that thing had.

The STi was better to drive around corners though.

Is that a Clubsport next to it... I would take that personally.

Pimping man. My sisters boyfriend thinks those things are the 'bomb'. But he has no idea, this is the guy I had to educate on how fast Turbo cars are. He made some embarrassing remarks about an STi one day. Its fun trolling all the turbo haters in my family, brought up with daddy saying V8's are the way to go.

Line them up, I say.

Runs, with a few corners. Telegraph Poles at said bends.

Watch natural selection take it's course.

Don't get me wrong, V8's certainly have their place...but that place is not next to a turbo AWD 4 ON THE STREET at a set of lights.

I admit they would kick my ass in a straight line over a distance but to *THE LEGAL ROAD LIMIT they don't really have a chance. They just can't get the power down quick enough.

*there abouts

V8's are simple, everyone knows they are fast, there isn't much to understand about them. Road going V8's are so lazy, and such a waste of money from almost every angle. They just don't work these days, but people still persist with them... then complain that fuel is too expensive.. But I do love them, even more when they are supercharged, hory shet.

I don't personally like large cars, so something that big and heavy I would never own. Not a fan of the VE, the VZ with 6ltr V8 would be sex though... but then I think of the fuel, insurance and here its more on the rego too. Having a turbo 4cyl is the cheapest way to go fast here.
