welcom to suby club mate, i live in elanora and work in brooky, drive a red bugeye rs (green P plater) that you whould have see around, car is a sluttt, gets around the beaches alot. should be good to see how the lib wagon comes along. id be saying just springs, and cat back and rims, then just drive it till you can afford more. you can pick up cheap 2nd hand bits on the forums (be carefull but). P plater rep. ill be with steve or in my mates gen3 rx if i dont have my impreza back. will set my cruse for 95km and drive up cause id be in no rush, would normally sit on 105km - 110km.

Very nice ride you got there I had a similar one but the sedan version basically.
Keep things simple; window tint, nice set of wheels and then perhaps look at lowering your car to make it a bit nicer to drive in the twisties. As others have suggested - don't bother chasing more power out of the engine because there is little to be gained out of it.
Be aware that your particular model is highly prone to headgasket failure. If you blow a headgasket, your looking at a huge repair bill so keep the revs sensible and allocate money towards keeping it regularly serviced to give you relatively trouble free motoring.

- Bilstein shocks (get them rebuilt)
- Some good quality springs (H&R Race, Whiteline Control, STi Pinks, etc)
- 22mm adjustable rear swaybar with solid alloy end links
- 4-pot WRX front brakes
- 2003-2007 Liberty GT 5-spoke 17in wheels (cheap, light, strong and look GREAT on Gen2s - my fiance has some on her Gen2RX)
- Replace as many bushes in the car's suspension/drivetrain
After that you're up to aesthetics or wasting money trying to make an NA fast. If I were you, as (if) one part fails replace it with a better part. So, if your steering rack needs to be replaced or reconditioned I'd look into upgrading to a later model pump/rack/line set-up. It isn't cheap but it'll work a lot better and if you choose to convert the car to turbo down the track it will stand you in good stead.
Hope to see you at the Mech&Tech day.

Legacy add-ons and you'll have one sweet looking wagon. Personally i don't think you need to worry about brakes just yet. Bushes are a good idea to
