Another one Nik?
Forking hell.
Yeah digs, but as much as it pains to say, he wasn't a friend at the end, lost him to the pick years ago. Just sealed his fate early this morning. His Mum got a lot of them into the pick, so I don't even know how to feel about her still being alive and Jas dead.
Deep breaths and all that.
Will check warranty, will not find it, will pay a nerd to fix it.
CHECK.

Private funeral. They all are when it's an OD.
I sound a bit callous, but it's just so often these days. ****.
Anyway. Today will be a good day. I will sell lots of alcohol to people. Lots of hot women will try and buy me (happened yesterday) and the sun will continue to shine.
Yo Adam.
Yo Shints.

RICHOOOOOOO AMSSYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHATDOIDOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?
protip: don't use speedfan.
use CoreTemp.
Nik, its a predicted failure. Speedfan/corewhatever is just designed to read the hard drives in built mechanism that's checks its health, a check engine light if you will.
Its impossible to guess if or when it will fail, i think you should get all your documents and whatever off it and get the computer looked at. Hard drives are cheap these days. Seagate (the hard drive you have in there now) are a lot better these days and I'm a bit suprised its failed (or at least in the process of)
stupidharddrive.bmp
??
Nik, click on the tab called SMART. Where it says harddisk, use the pull down menu to find your drive. Click on the button which says "perform and in-deth online analysis of this hard disk". Show us know the results.
AuzTemp - Not using it for temp, also speedfan is actually very good at reading multiple types sensors and for controlling things such as fan speed etc etc and can be used to export values for graphing etc.. Core temp is only usfull if you have a modern CPU and all you want to do is read the temp. I use both for different thing
ams - This reads the RAW SMART data and can help identify the reason the error popped up. It could just be # of running hours.. or something poo like relocated sectors.
