I'm half Uruguayan, half English, grew up in the Western Suburbs of Sydney, escaped to QLD in 2000.

Also, I had to change my wiper blades, long story short, they fought me the whole way, the passenger side wouldn't come off, so I tried to reef on it, I bent one of the small arms (bent back but never the same ) and pretty nastily cut up my index finger.... NOT HAPPY. Next time I may have to change the entire wiper thingy, can you get them to suit at Repco or something? I needa respray the arms too due to paint fade... unless you can buy whole genuine sets for a reasonable price.

I have family at.. Northern Beaches, Central Coast - the rest are over around Hinchinbrook, deep in the Western Suburbs.

But yeah, all around there. I still know the streets and can drive around the place, even though I left when I was 12. There are lots of people up here from Sydney - my mate from School with the WRX is also from down there! The funny thing is, I get all the 'fully sic' jokes etc, and most of them up here don't. My cousins really have the NSW 'woggy' accent.

Truth be told we wanted to move somewhere like the Northern Beaches, but we couldn't afford it, so we moved to QLD and bought a house cheap - which we then sold for more than twice as much when the market boomed. It wasn't easy moving up here with so much down there, and with my mum being ethnic... I probably mentioned it before on here but we actually attempted to move back down 2 years ago, around the area Morgan lives - but it was a complete disaster. I couldn't get work, parents hated their jobs, my sister had a BF up here... she moved back up herself - then we followed.

I mean where we live here, you couldn't buy that close in NSW for the money we paid. I am at most (on a good run) 50min from the city center. About the same by train, less if its express! And we live like... a few hundred meters from the bay. I'd rather that than the rat race suburbia of Sydney's Western Suburbs.
