I ninja edited, pretty sure its only when there is a sign that says U-Turn Permitted. I do it all the time haha. But you can do one anywhere as long as its a dashed line and safe to do so. You can't go until the other direction is clear though, which is common sense, but some idiots just pull a U-Turn when the light goes Green.

I am with you on that one Shivvy.. if we allowed free for all U-turns in Sydney there would be some serious attrition... Sydney cabs are Posted Image'ing terrible drivers at the best of times......... then you have chinaman in his Camry doing 20 below the speedlimit and not looking at anything close to him at all.

Then some douchebag from St Mary's flies past in his beat up commo practically shitting whinnie blues and bundy rum all the while near taking out everyone in his path while racing habib in his shitty Posted Image'ing debadged 318i.

Speaking of lights. The most insane driving experience heading home in peak hour out my way (at the moment) is the 3 lane to 1 lane after an overkill sized intersection that they built in place of a roundabout. Then idiots feel the need to do 80 in the 100 zone until the road splits into 2 again... No one wants to give up their place, so its like the starting grid at Bathurst off the set of lights if they go red. Then everyone slows down all of a sudden. A few close calls there.

Marvy Martian, ever driven a early 2000's E class V8?

I have driven a 2005 S class and it was not very nice at all to drive... steering was vague and far too light, handled like a boat, not that I suspected it would be fantastic. Had the airmatic suspension.

The only reason I ask, I drove a similar vintage SLK320 and it was not too bad, handled ok and felt good in the steering department.

Was wondering if the E class was a happy medium.

Depends on the vintage. Pre or post 2002 shape?

My folks have one and steering feel isn't too bad. Its quite weighty which i like. However when you start to really push it, it goes massively artificial like a computer game.

On a side note - the day before I went to Melbourne last week, the air suspension failed and as a result, the whole front end sagged until it rested on the inner wheel arches. Got it towed and fixed under warranty. Got it back today and she drives beautifully like normal.

Valet parking, 5 star hotel, bottle of moet on arrival and dinner. Level 19 out of 20. Right opposite the q1. They were all booked out.

Nah its the revised '07 model which ditched that system. Its also got slotted rotors so it brakes fairly well.

Did you trust them valet parking?

I'm too paranoid haha ....

She ain't worth 100k, but I'm sure my dad would happily take 100k for it :P

Their is a fair bit of body work needed. Small amount of rust, and the paint job dad got done was shit house, it has crows feet ALL over it. It originally come with a 186s motor but now has a 253 v8, which is just sitting in the x member. It's not 100% original or complete which is what brings in the $$$

My dad loves the car for it's looks, when he ordered it from the dealership he just said he wanted an Orange monaro. When he retires he'll fix it up with a fresh 253 v8 nice exhaust corona 5spd box and enjoy the car for what it is :)

I have insider knowledge of some of the games ( or championships) valet drivers do using guests cars in some hotels in Sydney CBD.

Once they go underground, silly shit occurs.

Yeah Shiv, i've heard stories.

They see how fast they can go underground, abs locked up on the Porsche and he hit a pole. Haha luckily hotel insurance covered it.

Think their underground speed record was held by a Galardo. :D
