@Brett: I don't hate the technology, I hate the people. Religious Apple hipster poofs. Especially funny is the videos from these Occupy sit ins, where everyone was late a week or so ago when the new IOS(?) was ready to be updated.

so why not just hate dickheads like I do. That way you can use an iphone, not get hung up about it, and get on with the important stuff like hating the bejeebus out of your phone company. have i mentioned how much i hate Vodafone and Telstra??

Say in 1964, I would've parted with $5000 to buy a brand spanking new EH Special wagon, looked after it for 47 and now it's a classic.

What car would I buy today that I can keep in a garage for 50 years?

My FIL often reminds me that when he was my age, people would pay you to take their old Mini's out of their front lawn.

I've seen pics of out the front of their house and there's half a dozen Mini's hanging around! He used to race them and parts were everywhere. They'd be worth $20k each now. He definitely regrets selling them!

Haha if I had my own garage plus a welder and enough manliness to know how to weld, I'd take you up on that!

I had the opportunity a year ago to buy a light blue Cooper S for $10k. Only catch was it was all in parts.

The guy restores Minis and Sprites. He had a complete Cooper S in parts ready to build. If I hadn't planned to get married in the following few months I would've definitely done it.

This Mini is destined for the crusher, theres more rust than good panels! the roof is barely attached anymore!

Im using it for steel to repair my other one, then its getting stipped and getting the boot!

If you ever decide to purchase one, and need any help with parts or anything, let me know! Sounds like you would have plenty of help from others you know though!
