I've done a lot of reading of late on engine oils in Subarus, and the general consensus is that Subaru EJ's really dislike synthetic oils.Just did some reading about the delvax mx oil. It's a diesel oil? Obviously its just an oil in the end but seems wrong to use it in a non diesel
none the less I think I'll run it from now on
20l drum FTW!

All Repcos stock it allegedly, even if it's not on the shelf. They should have some out back.Magnatec was the one the book recommended... not saying that is gospel but would be disappointed if it's no good...
I've heard fully synthetic glazes over the bores?
Just been doing some reading on the Delvac MX myself and it looks like a goer, however very hard to come by at local auto shops. Looks like it will be one of those things that if I see in the shop when looking for something else, I'll stock up on

I use Nulon fully synth 10w-40 (high tech, fast flowing haha) in the B4.The Nulon is 'full-synthetic', but most people refer to it as a 'semi-synthetic' due to the way its made, some sciency stuff. Mechanical Stig knows his stuff too, when I asked him on that forum he recommended the Magnatec as an all-rounder, but some people dislike it. Marty used Nulon in his (in one of the vids). From everything I have read as a newbie to Subaru, Full Synthetic is fine in Subaru's as long as its not less than 5w30. 0w is suicide lol.
