Balls haven't dropped.

With a surname like "Hosa" you'd think he'd be well endowed?

By the looks of him, she may have to crawl under his gut (whilst its propped up with two broomsticks) to actually see anything after the wedding night.

Perhaps he changed his surname because he wasn't close to his family.... Because he ate them (and she devoured the scraps).

Mass Air Flow.
Uses a hot wire to measure the mass (flow and density) of air entering the engine. This info is used by the ECU to calculate the required amount of fuel.
As more or colder air flows over the wire, more current is required to maintain the temp so the ECU sees the cahnges in current.

Warm up.

WTF? Murphy's car looks quite lively, but it is brandished with a large VOLVO logo on the rear.

Kill me now.

it counts all the air as it goes past, records it on a tally sheet and complains about how boring life as MAF worker really is.

Does it have the ability to regulate the flow? Or does it just send the reading somewhere so more/less fuel is chucked in?

Or am I WAY off?

As more or colder air flows over the wire, more current is required to maintain the temp so the ECU sees the cahnges in current.

Also known more commonly amongst Subaru circles as the AFM (Air Flow Meter).

It is the AIDS and SATAN of Subarus. A true achilles heel. This dies, and can cause bad fuel economy, or on the opposite side of the scale, fuel starvation, and inevitably, detonation and engine destruction.

I'll be deleting mine shortly.
