Making a thread about it as Marv suggested.

Over the past few weeks I've notices that my car is shuddering or jerking when I am accelerating mainly in 2nd but it is also happening sometimes In 3rd and 4th. Its quite hard to explain, but it sort of feels like I am 'kangarooing' the car.
It can happen at any RPM.

I'm taking it to get checked out next week, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

I think gearbox oil was changed in my last major service 2 months or so back. Not 100% sure though. Will ask dad and check with the mechanic.

Is there any 'slack' in the drive train as you get on and off the throttle?

Are the symptoms less in the higher gears?

Any strange noises?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Right. That wont be clutch.

A few people with high km cars have had tailshaft bushings deteriorate and give a shunt/shudder as it spins up or down.

Clunking/thumping as you accelerate and decelerate. Feels like something is loose.

Ok So i worked out that its a Petrol problem (derp)
when i put my foot down, you can tell/feel that the engine is not getting enough petrol, and it is on the verge of stalling, hence it jumping around the place.

Booked in for monday, but my ideas is that it could be:
-Fuel Meter
-Cracked Injectors
-Filters.

any other ideas?

I don't know what a 'fuel meter' is.
Never heard of 'cracked injectors'
Blocked fuel filter may cause a lean mixture. Normally a fuel blockage is worse at higher speed/load. Air filter the same but a rich mixture. (more or less)

Let your mechanic figure it out.

Personally i doubt its fuel. Maybe its the fuel pump but i doubt its anything to do with the fuel system

It only happens when under load. It definitely does feel like its struggeling to get fuel and is on the verge of stalling.
Its one of those problems that is very hard to explain without feeling it.

I actually turned it on and it hasn't happened yet. Its idling in the driveway now but ill give it a proper run in bit. I doubt a problem lasting 2 weeks has just sorted itself out.

Everyone who has driven the car with the problem has said it is a fuel problem though.

If it's a fuel problem then I'd say its possibly the fuel pump.

My fuel pump died not long ago, it's actually really easy to change, we did it at Maroubra Beach parking lot where I broke down the night before hahaha.

The coil pack and all these leads had all shat themselves, and needed replacing

holy crap you got ripped blind! man you need to shop around and get quotes for parts before giving the go ahead for your mechanic.

set of leads for the suby will only be around $100 a set.
