holy crap you got ripped blind! man you need to shop around and get quotes for parts before giving the go ahead for your mechanic.

set of leads for the suby will only be around $100 a set.

He did coil pack aswell.

$300 for coils and leads.

Im OK with that.

Diaganosis takes time as well as labour.

Mechanics have to eat too.

Yeah it's not really fair to expect a mechanic to diagnose and fix it for the same price you could buy the parts at Supercheap. $300 seems fairly reasonable for diagnosis, parts and fitting...

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.
