Keep us informed.
Subaru alternators are pretty good normally and don't die often.
If the battery dies again check the charge light in the dash cluster. It should appear as soon as you turn the key to on. If it dosen't you've found your problem.
When it blows, the exciter circuit that fires the alternator is compromised, so it wont charge, and you are relying on the battery to run the car. Ergo.......battery constantly dying.
This is usually the problem, well, moreso than dying alternators.

Nope, it's not the fuel pump.

Yup, was alternator. Car is running now with new alternator.
