Tom - I agree with you. Not something I'd have a crack at, but unfortunately, the guy's come unstuck somehow, and flipped it on its lid.
Thankfully he hasn't hurt himself or others.
I have read that thread, and I am somewhat disgusted at some of the poor responses, considering that they're the biggest culprits of driving much in the same fashion.

I just feel for the guy. Not only does he have to deal with his minor injuries and bruised ego, but the plethora of cyberkeyboard "experts" who are all too happy to tell him how he fcuked up.
I reckon the guy who was behind the wheel, may just have a tiny inkling as to knowing how he had fcuked up.
I dunno... what do you reckon?

I saw a **** make a ridiculous decision which ended up in him binning his car. I called it as I see it.
You don't have to know the road. You don't even have to know the speed, to know that was too many kinds of

Have I driven in this way before. Certainly f'n not. I have a brain, an imagination and a sense of accountability that prevents me from doing such retarded things.

No one on this God forsaken planet can call themselves a pristine driver who's never caused an accident, never been in an accident, never not assisted at an accident, or the like.
Not even you.
No sir.
Your shit stinks like the rest of ours, so stop acting so all high and fcuking mighty!

Despite the doom and gloom, there are reasons to be cheerful. As measured by median wealth levels, Australians are the wealthiest people in the world, says the Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report 2011, which measured the wealth of the world's 4.5 billion adults.
It found Australia's median wealth, the mid-point between the wealthiest adult and poorest, was $US222,000 ($213,800), the highest in the world.

On a more first world issue....

Another fun fact is that since 1999 the gap between rich and poor has become among the best in the world. Making the 'plight' of people who think the rich are getting rich, and the poor getting poor even more delusional.
I saw it on a show called theDrum.

Criteria:
Manual or auto
Less than $20 000
He needs to carry boxes of stock to run his business, meaning most sedans are out.
He has some interest in going offroading in his spare time, nothing too major requiring mods though.
Suggestions?
He's looking at:
Landcruisers
Forester xt
The occasional liberty wagon or obk
