Cut a hole big enough to fit Hella supertones in each.

I've always wondered about the white/black Hella covers. Are they actually covers, or do the lights work behind them? I'm sorry for the dumb arse question, but the sheer amount of car and 4wds I see with these lights mounted with the covers fitted is rediculous. What the hell is the point if you have to remove the covers every time you want to actually use them???

If they need to be removed before using the lights, why not just remove them and post up another pic? If they are designed to stay on, then yes, I agree with everyone else, the originals looked much better.

Once again, sorry for the stupid question, but its been killing me to ask it.

Cheers,
Ben

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

It shines through but is very diffused. To use them as fog lights you would have to remove the cover.

And they were the oem lights, just plastic hella covers over the top.

Not the reason I bought them though. I dont use the fog lights, so decided to put covers on them.

I have bought new oem foglight grills and will be moulding the hella covers to them to be the exact diameter as the oem ones. They will then be painted lower body color. Pending how it looks, I may or may not redo the "hella" in black.

Ah ok, that explains a few things then. I dont know, I reckon it will probably look better with the reflectors showing. The body colour should look good on the grill though.
Perhaps do the Hella in white like the upper body?

Trans service today with some synthetic fluid. Full system flush and refill. Definitely smoother shifting on the way to work today.

I had a new trans cooler sitting at home so decided to throw that on.

A few measurements taken and made up some nice alloy brackets and everything fits in perfectly. :D

Needs more black.

While you are at it, the radiator support could do with a clean.

That is all.
