once it drops there will be loads of aftermarket bits and pieces to make this thing look better than the concept. can't wait to see the jdm crew start modding them. that's when it'll get interesting

I think it looks shit. Like every car in the Subaru range since 2007 (and all Imprezas since 1993).

Hi,

Each to their own, Iain. I'm keen as mustard for it to come to Australia.

If it's sub $35k I think it should do really well. But I think we all know it will probably be something ridiculous like $50K++

Cheers,
Nik

Do you think this will slot in along-side the liberty or below it in their range? That should give some indication to pricing, no?

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I didn't say you guys weren't entitled to your opinions. I was just being blunt :)

AMS - it'll be a standalone. If they go sporty wtih it (which is a possibility, given Toyota last had a sporty car in their line-up when Paul Keating was PM and have no interest in fast/fun cars) it'll more than likely sit alongside the WRX and head towards the STI range. Subaru have already said they're looking to move the WRX to be a standalone model, like NIssan did with their GT-R (notice how it's a Nissan GT-R, not a Skyline GT-R?)

Hi,

To give you an idea of my tastes, Iain, I think the Gen4 Liberty is the best looking car Subaru has made, period. Closely followed by the Vortex XT6 - of which I very nearly purchased...

I also agree the Gen5 Subaru's are some of the most generically ugly vehicles getting around at the moment.
Cheers,
Nik

Agreed. It is the ONLY Subaru I consider "good looking"

Relax lads... the Gen4 is no uglee duckling like the Gen3, but it's got nothing on a Gen2.

Hi,

As me and Marv said, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I personally think you'd have rocks in your head to find a Gen2 'good looking' - but that's what makes this world great I suppose.

I'm staying positive. I think this will be an AWESOME car built on a really well set up chassis - let's hope I'm right, ay?

Cheers,
Nik

No Subaru will ever compare to the looks and lines of the Gen 1 Liberty...
