Just lost like 2 hrs of work. Didn't save and the program crashed.

Will you be prepared to forfeit the money your employer is going to pay you for those two hours?

Sorry. Bad staff day for me.

What is with all you guys going fixed rates?

Genuinely interested.

I've done maybe 5 fixed rate loans since I started in the finance industry

Security of repayments is our main reason. We know pretty much what our rate will be for the next 3 years and don't have to worry about rate rises ;)

Zinn says if all the banks follow suit in disassociating themselves from the RBA's rate cut cycle, consumers will face a "complex and confusing" system of rate movements from the big four banks.

OH MY! THE WORLD IS SO BIG AND VAST AND CONFUSING?!?!?! AM I SUPPOSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MYSELF???? WHY DOESN'T THE GOVERNMENT STEP IN AND MAKE THE BANKS DO THINGS FOR ME, BUT WHEN IT DOESN'T GO MY WAY, WHY DOESN'T THE BANKS JUST TAKE IT INTO THEIR OWN HANDS?
WHY MUST I BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY OWN LIFE SITUATION>S>A<DL<MSLKFN

@Walts - That's so Posted Image'ing good.

Your move, Shazbank.

Doesn't surprise me really. I mean, all the banks will be doing it soon. They will move their rates at any given time, even of the RBA doesn't move it.

Over 60% of banks funds are borrowed by overseas markets, so when the RBA moves their cash rate, it doesn't really effect them so much.

Instead, when overseas banks turn to shit, the cost of funding increases significantly because funds aren't as easily acquired. So in order to counter that, banks will begin moving their rates outside of the RBA cycle.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Boiler pooped itself at work today. Not permanently, but enough for me to have to shut down my boil and restart it 20 minutes later. Annoying considering up till then I was having a fantastic run. Wort was crystal clear all transfer, making great time. Then everything went dry.
Still, got it in the fermenter and hit target gravity so should turn out fine. That brew completes our busy period. 5 brews in 9 days. I've never seen all our tanks full , and with 4 of them still fermenting.

Sig worthy.
