ok i'll start looking for a local half cut.i cant aford to do anything now so i have some planing/surching time.

Baja cut should come with the gearbox and turbo hood.
The loom will be a much easier conversion.
As was said get a diff to suit unless the one you have is right.
Correct me if I'm wrong but all post 2006 turbo Baja's come with the EJ255. Great combo for the weight of the Gen3.

how would i find out if my current diff will suit an EJ255

I doesn't suit the engine, it suits the gearbox.

If you keep your current auto tranny then yes. All you have to do is make sure that any new/current gearbox you choose has the same final drive ratio as your diff.
To check that simply google the gearbox number you want to use. The info should be out there.

Considering Subaru de-tune all of their autos compared to the manual, you might want to drive gently if you're keeping the auto...

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.


It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.
