Standard jdm early gen3 tt manifold, slightly different to the audm version, i think the aussie ones have different injectors and a different map sensor arrangment, but otherwise the same.
Strip all the accessories off
Clean it thoroughly and mask off he gasket surfaces, injector holes, vacuum ports and bolt holes. I washed it with a scourer in ordinary car wash liquid, then went over it in metho with a rag. Its very important that it is clean before painting.
You must use an etch primer on the bare metal first
Then spray on a few coats of the wrinkle paint. Its pretty interesting stuff, it kind of fizzes as you spray it which creates the wrinkle patterns, the heavier u coat it, the more it fizzes which makes the wrinkle effect more pronounced.
Done! hard to see properly with the camera, but it looks pretty mega!

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

so I powder coated mine.
but before that, I grinded off any unnecessary bungs for a neater finish (I'm rocking a custom twist mount turbo setup)

Powdercoating is nice though as it smooths out some divets.

After seeing countless factory STi manifolds flake, I'm a little reluctant to believe this.If its prepped right and the right paint used, an aerosol job will not flake.
Plus, I've got a sweet hookup for powder coating
