I'm safe!
Made it to townsville in one piece and comfortably.
Cool.
I did that drive once, only we stopped at Charters for morning tea then kept going.
Townsville to Charters is not bad but from there to Julia Creek is a BORING 5hrs.
I would be a good place to wind out a Commodore hire car, if I had one.

Now i can use my ipod in the car!
Old head unit wouldnt use the front speakers properly, this one does, and had actual Ipod support. For $185, i cant complain.

I am using an FM thingy for my iPod after failing with a cable that was intended for a Gen4. Its great around here, starts to fail a little when you get into the city though, but I have found 2 stations that work nice and clear most of the time.
