@Nik, Starcraft is insanely popular in South Korea, sorta how we see football etc LOL..... they have pro-gamers who are paid a fair bit of money to play the game by mobile phone companies etc over there.

I have no idea, really, why you think I'd care at all about this information. But, like you soldier through Adam and I discussing pulling down sheds, I read it anyway.

I had an older woman in yesterday - such a legend. When I said to one of the young girls she was with that she can wash up her own glass because I don't do women's work, the young bird chirped, very displeased with the treatment I'd given (even though it's pretty Posted Image'ing obvious it's a joke) to her. My canned response for such uprising is;

"Welcome to the country, sweetheart"

Said in my best ute muster accent.

This brought on another blowfish face explosion and the 'well I never' eyes were on full blast.

The older lady, who was her mother, said;

"Just clean the bloody glass like he told you to"

Haha. We went on to talk about her youth, where she repeatedly said "When men were men, and women were women, we got more respect than what these liberated modern women do now - they just don't know it"

Haha. Her daughter was fairly mortified that she was defending me and my actions.

When I opened the door for her when she went to leave she nearly died; "Why aren't you thirty years older?" she asked.

She's the kind of person the phrase "good woman" was coined for.

Words.... Y u so many????

Okay so I just realised.

Why the fork do I have half a v3 sti.

Whaddaya reckon a block an heads are worth?

You have half a V3 STi?

Block (stripped) $300-$400 (in good nick)
Short motor (complete, no heads) $600-$700 (in good nick)
Heads $700-$800 (more if decked, machined and ready to be fitted)
Long motor (block + heads, no intake man/exhaust man, turbo etc) $1300-$1500
Complete motor $1500-$1600

That's a rough price guide. Bear in mind the EJ20K (v3 STi motor) is not so favourable these days due to the huge amount of static timing they run, often leading to big-end and head gasket failure. The more popular option is an EJ207... which I have for sale :P

Takuni tax - explain.

Takumi Tax is a term which applies to old borked Toyotas and their huge increase in popularity through the Japanese manga cartoon "Initial D", which focuses on a young high school student who drifts a Toyota AE86 Sprinter GTV up and down the fictional Mount Akina, winning races and respect while delivering tofu for his father. Phew. The character's name is Takumi, and so through everyone wanting a black and white GTV Sprinter (like Takumi's), it has driven the price of Sprinters and their ilk (including T-18s and KE70s) through the roof.

1. Takumi Tax 17 up, 1 down
The additional cost you pay for a vehicle because of its popularity, which has been earned because it features prominently in initial d.

John: i'd love to buy a AE86 sprinter for my next car
Jim: nah man, you pay takumi tax on those, get a early wrx instead.

I have ecu, and intake + injectors.

No motor. Aparantly just a wrx motor.

I wanted v3 sti motor because you advise me good sir, that a 207 would be a waste for my purpose!

True. But now I have one for sale, changes everything :P

V3 STi motor + freshen up head gaskets and bearings is just as good as EJ207. EJ207 is just convenience factor.

Good story, Nik. You're missing the important factors though - were either of them hot?

Posted Image

It really is sad to see how many women don't know how to do anything anymore. Parent's do absolutely everything for their kids these days which doesn't teach them anything. Most of dudes don't even know how to cook a decent meal either. Appalling!

My Mrs actually likes cooking and cleaning and all that. She also knows how to plaster up a hole in the wall, completely restore a vintage clothes cupboard and hang a picture frame.

IT'S NOT HARD!!
