Hi all,
I have been on this forum for awhile just lurking around with my first Subaru, a 92 Liberty GX. Since buying this car i have loved Subarus since. I'm still on my P's for awhile but I have been thinking about getting a project that i can work on when i have time off because lets face it there is only so much you can do to an N/A. After searching for awhile i came across a 1992 Legacy GT for cheaps so i grabbed it. This GT has 280 000 Kms and an auto box that has seen better days. Apparently it also has a bigger turbo but i am yet to find out what. It is still running a wtai for now with plans of a decent top mount later on. Basically I have awhile to work on this car with my plans of a manual conversion first to get it running to renew rego in 4 months. When completed i will be stoked on 200atwkw or close for my first turbo. I'm very new to turbos and will probably ask a few noob questions but i'm willing to learn alot.

First thing is the manual conversion. As for parts there is obviously Gearbox, Pedal Box, Clutch, Flywheel, Lines etc. Would i need a different ecu to run Manual or can i rewire the auto one?

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! haha good old RAVS VORKS! I used to have a set of these too that i got off Aydin which then went to Scott before moving on again...

I got it from dungog so its close to that area ha and its been around before that too, From Japan to africa :\ haha.

spare power steering pumps
legacy gtb heads
ej207 forged bottom end
ported headers
v3 sti intake manifold
Unwelded Pipes core and silicon for fmic

But before i get carried away i think im going to fix the auto box and save for a 5sp conversion, Preferably 4.44.

Well, I do know where there is a wrecked RS Liberty sedan with a 4.44 V3 STi 'box and 4.44 LSD... I can ask the owner what he'd sell them for?

The autos certainly didn't come with an LSD.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.


It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.
