Iain, is it actually possible to tell the generation of an EJ20 conclusively without decoding the whole engine number? Surely they couldn't look at an engine number and say with absolute certainty "yeah, nah mate this is an ej20k, B4 only had an ej208"?Not true, Shaz. You've gone from an NA to FI motor (and an EJ20K, not the TT EJ208 the Gen3 Legacys had)
I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.
It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Short motor is ok - no differences for emissions but complete long motor can send them over the edge.

a new dump pipe will only cost me the price for the mandral bends, my old man is a nut case when it comes to building cars, (builds race cars for a living) he has the skills to make one from scratch and has befor.don't bother getting a new dump made up, get a second hand wrx fitment and get it modified (mounting points) will be a lot cheaper
