I spray mine as a minimum every second service, but these days due to how cheap it is ive been recommended to do it with every service

I get no smoke at all these days, just a light white bit when i take it for a spin after ive sprayed it

Surely you don't need a part number? Just walk in and ask for some upper engine cleaner

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

The Ford UEC is the same.

Both are made by Bars IIRC.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

I use Power Tune which is made by Mercury Marine. I have found it a bit more potent than the Subaru UEC. It blows a lot more spoke but the engine seems to rev a bit more freely afterwards compared to the Subaru UEC. I use it every 5000 km's and it seems to love it so far.

They are different.
They both released an "ingredients" list, and they are along way apart.

2002 Outback - it's gone...

The one that you have your boost gauge reading off.

Those of you with electronic throttles, Never spray this stuff into your throttle body. Damage can be done.

Those with cable ones...Spray the shit out of it!

Above the alternator were 3 tubes. I unplugged the left one with the T connector section and sprayed half a can. It took up to 10 seconds to start...

spent the next few mins emptying the can. I didnt really have to rev the engine much.

However it seems I have about 10% of foam left in the can. The can stopped spraying. Is that normal?

the smoke show was alright. It started smoking as high as my garage door and then looked similar to steam on a cold morning.

Having never done this before, the tip on not doing it after an oil change is good. Do the cans come with a small white spray hose like with the CRC cans? Best to do this while idling I assume?

Sorry for the dumb arse questions, but have never done this before. I'll change the oil no dramas, but anything more than that I'm happy to pay someone, Can't be arsed spending half a day on it when it will take someone who knows what they are doing 2 hours. I'm thinking it would be good to give the old girl a birthday next change though, cold start revs are starting to fluctuate.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Yeah Spray some in before you start the car. Then let it idle and keep spraying, just rev the car a bit so it doesnt stall out

Just did another upper engine clean. It has been about 14,000km since I last used it in June last year.

Barely anything came out... looking at my video clip, a few puffs of white smoke shot out 1 metre and stopped 2 seconds later.

but less smoke is a good thing I guess? I do a lot of highway driving and always use bp98 fuel.

Yes in this circumstance less is best. It means your engine is running really efficient and therefore is not letting to much carbon build up inside each cylinder.
