After looking at 3 b4's in a week, i have found one to buy. It is a 01 model with 90,000kms, metallic blue, only has tune and CAI.

Has service records, log books and reciepts for everything and from both owners. Owner is a car guy and has spent a lot of money making this a great example.

Will be bringing it out to the cruise in April

Congrads, they look mint in blue!

The amount of extra back pressure the varex will create when closed will have zero effect on the tune of the car (in terms of air/fuel ratio). If you think about it, turbos are basically giant variable restrictions in the exhaust stream, the exhaust pressure in the turbine of the turbo will be approximately 3-4 times the compressor pressure. So at 15psi boost, you will have about 50psi in the headers, the extra 1-2 psi the varex will create is not significant. Also, any maf sensed car will by nature of its design automatically compensate for any change in overall gas flow in the engine, which is why almost all turbo cars are maf sensed.
Map sensed cars do not 'see' any changes to the exhaust back pressure and the air/fuel ratio will change if the exhaust is changed. I've heard some horror stories about rx7's (map sensed) blowing up with just a big exhaust and a bit more boost.

Possibly the varex could cause boost spikes, but i would be surprised if it did.

Blue B4's are the bomb! Single turbo B4's are even better!
The best mod so far I could have done...
Well done on the purchase, you will love it!
