The EJ207 goes a fair bit past 7500. It's hardly worth running out and buying a new cluster though, when the tacho points to due south, time to change gear :D

Do they? I found the limiter with the TT a few times, never had a need to find it with spec c engine though. Don't need to wring their necks. Whats the specs on them?

No luck there Vicelore, the STi dash from the GDB wont bolt into the hole in the gen 3. You might have some luck changing individual gauges, but I suspect that might be a no go as well. Not only that, the wiring will be different.

Make sure you bolt those items on the rear parcel shelf down real good... I've almost been clouted by a 6" speaker once... would not have been pretty had it collected me. Pure luck.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

The B4 has an EJ208, maybe the rev limit is different. On the 207 though, the "redline" on the tacho starts at 8,000 with revlimit at 8250 apparently? It's well off my tacho so I can't check, but I think 8250 was the number said by some others.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Holy crap... thats high...

My tacho stops at 8. and I did always wonder why the STi tachos went to 10. That would somewhat explain it. Its one of those things I want to try now, but I don't... If you know what I mean...

Yes it is :D Sounds pretty excellent at 8k+ even if the power is long gone by then...

Yep, I would say the temp and fuel gauges could be moved over without too much hassle, they should be about the same size as the liberty ones, be a pain to get them reading correctly (aren't the needles in different directions?) but they should be able to be changed reasonably painlessly. The tacho and speedo are different sizes though. That and the plates showing the numbers will be different sizes to the lib ones. See how you go though - Although as the guys are saying, it is possible to just run your lib ones.

for the time, money and effort to Posted Image around putting parts of a wrx dash into a liberty, youd probs find it cheaper to just not be tight and go buy a genuine liberty dash thats plug and play.

That would be my way of doing things, especially as I think I remember seeing those white STi dash clusters on japanparts.com for about 3 to 400 bucks. Depends on postage, but would be a hell of a lot simpler.

Could always get a B4 cluster wired in when you get the loom done, for a bit of defi niceness.

I have the standard RX Dash still, V3 sti revs off the tacho nicely haha!

Carry the look around the rest of the interior if you are going to do it - window controls, door handle surround, etc.

Oh, thats another thing you will need - a dash cluster. The RX one only revs to 7 from memory? The red line on a 2L turbo is 7500, and limiter cuts in at 7800. Speedo isnt too much of a worry as the imports are all speed limited to 180. My advice is to find one of the STi clusters as shown in the above photo - white backing. Should look the bomb when combined with the stickering. Only reason I say that is that cluster should be bolt in, plug and play. The blacked out B4 ones need wiring mods to make them work properly.

Take note of the amount of km on the new cluster though - they are inbuilt into the speedo, so change the speedo, you change the amount of kms shown.

Which STI is that white cluster from ? And is it straight bolt in ?

yeah it took me alittle while to make sence of the model numbers 2. to be truthful mate im 100% sure what they are out of. its not a WRX STI. They are a geniune STI Legacy (liberty) dash. maybe some1 here can clarfly what they are out of???

the a - b - c - d is the revisions that subaru made within that model. if that makes sence......
