Nah, I think it was a "agree to disagree" style thing. And yeah, they do, but I've not seen it get more heated then it did that night hahahahahahahaha.
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

It is more than reasonable for an employer to expect staff to stat ten late, and it is a workplace requirement that they are there long enough before roster on time to be actually starting work at that time. Being at work at 9 and starting work at nine are two separate things.

I get to work at 8, even though I am meant to start at 9, and I leave at 5, even though im meant to leave at 4:30.
Does this make me awesome?

The same people that rock up AT nine am, then start doing make up, getting their uniform on properly, have a coffee, have a chat about packed to the rafters... etc. etc... are the same people that are jacketed up with keys in hand at five to five in the afternoon, dashing for the door.

No, it makes you a person with a good work ethic. You're in a senior/managerial roll, and no manager ever wants staff to be there before them.

I agree on this, but providing she is starting her work at 8:30 with no delays and finishing her work at 5 and not before I think the employer can getBeing at work at 9 and starting work at nine are two separate things.

Dads guys get to work some stupid time earlier than they need to.. they are required to be there from 8 - 5 yet they are there from about 7:30 when Dad arrives to open up and won't leave for the afternoon until he closes the shop which is usually 5:30 - 6, they are under no obligation to arrive or finish at the times they do though, would not force them to do O/T.

I think that is a whole different scenario (hoping). getting ready during the time you should be on the floor doing stuff is totally unacceptable. The same people that rock up AT nine am, then start doing make up, getting their uniform on properly, have a coffee, have a chat about packed to the rafters... etc. etc... are the same people that are jacketed up with keys in hand at five to five in the afternoon, dashing for the door.
Also, labor voter? damn ******, punch my mother in the face next time, less offensive.
