here's a question for you blokes that like to burn wood for heating.
Ive just chopped down a Conifer and I plan on using it for fire wood. Do I need to let it dry out till next winter before I can burn this kind of pine?
it'd be handy if it was ready to use straight away, because I'm short on firewood atm.

Sig worthy.

Nfi about the type of wood. But if it was alive. Definitely needs to season. Otherwise it will just cause you problems. Especially in an open fire place!

feeling suitably blokey right now. Just chopped (well sawed really) some wood. Now I'm going to have a beer and eat a meat pie.

Sig worthy.

Let it season.

Also use a spark shield if its an open fire. Conifers, pine etc. spit due to the very high sap content.
If its a wood heater, I would burn it with some hard-wood (teeehee) as it burns a bit dirty.

You are trolling right?

No wait, the guy in the Preza was a 90 year old war veteran with a zimmer frame?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
