Saw someone I haven't seen in a long time yesterday. He got out after a 15 month bid, missus is knocked up, he's moved back to town. We owe each other our lives a few times over each way, but I know he's still slanging, and I'm not about that these days. Not sure what to do? My heart says I can't ignore a life long friend, and my heart also says I cannot judge others on the path they've taken - but my head is telling me to stay away, because I have an addictive personality, and money has always been an unhealthy addiction for me, which usually gets people hurt.

Should I just make sure when we do catch up, it's down the pub? Rather than around his place where I know things can change course?
