Struggling with fire wood at the moment! Had to buy a load. It's not burning too well. Which is annoying. Looks like I'll be spending all day tomorrow splitting it smaller! Gayyyyyuy

Also, anyone got any tips for ripping a piece of 90x45 timber down the guts? I've only ever used a table saw, or a panel saw!

an axe

Yeah, I was thinking it's not much of a build article... but hey. It's what I have to work with.

:)

Interestingly enough they said it wasn't running right on the shoot day!

You just have to fuckin' love it, don't you? To build a car up, even like you have, and just be like "yeah, it's broken again" with a smile on your face.

I don't think I have it in me.

It probably runs better than with the old a-series enjin!

(or the rover engine, whatever they were. Some sort of poor designed injection system)

Pearly?

No but seriously, what do you need help with? Wooden/metal? Make sure you swing it the right way... I'm not exactly MrHandyMan but I've put up enough fences and gates in my time to know you are more than capable.

Well I have a farm gate on the side of the house.

It was originally mounted on a piece of 150x150 hardwood that was tied onto the fence and concreted in. The ground part rotted. So it was just being held up by the fence.

Subsequently new fence. So no gate post anymore. I need some ideas on how to get a gate post mounted to the concrete.
Wooden post, metal post, stirrups? Whatever. Come at me bro :)

You have two options, as far as I can see - without seeing it.

Dig up the old setting.

Make the gate swing from the other side.

Use a treated pine, and you shouldn't have an issue. You might not know how much conc. they used.... could be a bit of a mission to break it up and dig it out.

Take a photo and show me in the lawnmowing thread!

;)
