Quick question I can't seem to find on the interbutts, are the JDM OEM HID's for the Gen3 facelift model actually plug and play? I read somewhere that there was an extra wire for level adjustment but the post was about an earlier revision - just curious.

sorry another question, will LED brake globes throw a error?

Can't find the post, but I saw someone that was getting errors from using LED's in the stock tails - I could be wrong. Causes a bulb out error in some cars.

HIDs are illegal unless factory fitted. This is because if you fit them aftermarket, you have more rules to follow than most people know about. The main ones are:
Must have a cleaning spray nozzle in front of them - much like windshield washer jets on your bonnet.
Must have automatic motorised adjustment, with sensors on front and rear axles to maintain level. Dont know how they are programmed to work, but thats the rules.

Yes, there are extra wire/s for level adjustment.

Dont know about the LED side of things.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Correct.

Be that as it may; I don't know of anyone that has been pinged for retrofitting an HID kit.
