sorry JC but this is bad advice (if the speed limit is 40 then yes). I guy in a really nice forester (acouple of cars in front of me) lost control due to snow that has melted on the road then turned into ice (black ice) forester is no more. i took a photo of the car (will put it up later) its wasnt pretty, poor blokeUnless you are the very first car to go up the mountain after a huge snow storm you will easily be fine with the speed limit.
