H.TH
Most people don't look after their cars and need a professional to go over it annually to make sure everything is in tip top shape.

It's just another hassle. It is beyond stupid that some states don't have mandatory registration safety checks each year at renewal time.
People should look after their own cars, it shouldn't be a problem.
Typical late comment from latey mclate-late.Hahaha good luck with that. I will not be getting up early to mash in.

The problem with this is that people are morons. I wouldnt trust some people i know to look after their cars by themselves and realise somethings wrong with it.

I am sure it is, but it doesn't cost anything and it weeds out a lot of potentially dangerous cars that would otherwise be driving on the road unchecked. It's just another hassle.

A lot of people don't know how to look after their cars, and some don't even care.

I thought it cost money. That's alright then I guess.I am sure it is, but it doesn't cost anything and it weeds out a lot of potentially dangerous cars that would otherwise be driving on the road unchecked.

How long do the check usually take?
We only have a similar check when you buy a car from interstate and it needs to be checked before it's registered here.
