Mum is still driving around the Bimmer because no one wants to sell us anything.
She likes the Lexus RX series so we're looking at 09+ RX350 Sports Luxury's. Found one at Trivette's in Syd so went to buy it but turns out they sold it to someone after promising it to us and tried to palm off another one to us (lower model). Yeah right.
Dad nearly bought one from a private sale. The rear bar had been in a small acco and thought it needed a respray (ok with the price he was getting the car for) but turns out it would require a completely new rear bar + paint (=$1k+) plus a full detail (~$500) as it was in pretty bad shape.
After another week without anything new coming up, he decided to go back to Trivettes to get that slightly lower model as it's only missing a few features of the Sports Luxury. They then tried to sell it as an SL and upon closer inspection, it looks to be a Prestige (the base model with heaps less features). For goodness sake, never deal with Trivettes. Worst!
Last weekend a new ad popped up on CS for an SL with barely any kms and in great condition. the guy is selling on behalf of a family member and dad spoke to him a few times on Sunday. Since then, he's either been killed or lost his phone. Haven't heard a peep. Dad's got the money ready to go but this guy won't return calls or pick up his phone!

Parents walked into crossroads mazda up here in Newcastle probably 2 months ago, heart set on this Mazda 6 Luxury Sports that was on the yard, cash ready to go everything, and not a single car salesman wanted to come up and deal with them. bloody morons.

also much easier than dealing with car salesmanMorgan, your Dad should just jack a car. Saves money that way.

Morgan, I am not surprised the dealer had no idea what they were selling....... see it everyday.. Dealers barely know the brand of the car let alone the grade, notoriously bad at identifying what they are trying to sell (not aimed at Trivett, aimed at ALL car dealers).

mark call me re-calender this arvo. we're about to open our own store on Cafe Press for apparel and accessories and they also offer calenders so we should run it through there. it means we don't have minimums and they organise all the freight/postage
Too easy mate, might maybe be hopefully out on the boat wakeboarding till it gets dark but i'll give you a buzz when i get a chance.

Especially with a $60k car. You'd think some people would be a little more respectful! I suppose Trivett's is a luxury car stealership so $60k isn't a big deal at all..?
We've since heard how difficult they are to deal with. Heaps of people shudder as soon as they hear the T word... Don't know how a business with that rep can still be operating.

$60K is still a fair chunk of money to waste on a car, You would think for sure that they would be more helpful.
you would expect them to really be helpful to anyone who is ready to buy and has the cash ready to go.
Morgan have you guys considered the Lexus Dealer in Newcastle? friend of mine has got a few cars through them and has nothing but good things to say about them
