Mate dont listen to these wankers, just get headers and wack a turbo on it, keep boost below 21psi an you will be right mate. Will destroy any wrx mate and have the reliablity of a gold fish. Realy good!

gold fishes live forever. ,mate ratios are minor details. definitly go twin turbo but, you won't regret it.

Well if i told you it'd be smart to just buy a gc8 wrx for $6k or so youd tell me how much you love your rx and want to convert it cause its your pride and joy? If not then seriously just buy a wrx.

Cause thats the easiest and cheapest way out of it.

And you can run whatever front diff ratio you want, aslong as the rear diff matches.

No its not my pride and joy but its what ive got to work with and i want it to be mine if thar makes sense? I couldnt buy a wrx because im on my p's so i had to buy an rx! I bought the ej25 for a whole $170 off a mate and the additional parts i need to rebuild it ie pistons, con rods, valves, gaskets and the turbo kit only set me back about $2000 so overall for a diy job its only cost me $2700 i bought the car for $3000 so a total of $5700 to upgrade it and give it a personallity of my choice! Tell me where i could have bought a wrx under $5700 thats not half f***ed because someone thought that it would be fun to drive a wrx like a dick and wreck it only to have me fix the motor anyway?

Im not about the whole "jones theory" i dont want to have your typical run of the mill wrx! I want a car that reflects me and my visions, yeah it may not be a wrx but im gunna make it freakin awesome ey and im gunna do some crazy shit to it but more importantly its gunna be mine!

Now with all respect dude please only comment if its going to be useful information that i can use rather than "just buy a wrx"

Cheers

have you factored in the cost of gearbox and brake upgrades? or engineering costs?

You have parts for a short motor.. Cool!!

What about heads, timing belt kit, water pump, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, intercooler, fuel pump, injectors, boost controller, dump pipe, computer, wiring loom etc

Its all different

I couldnt buy a wrx because im on my p's so i had to buy an rx!

Maybe wait unti you are off your P's then do a half-cut conversion?

Also; if you add up the wattage of all your amps, what number do you get?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
