My mate who just bought the specB was wondering about the AUX jack. His didn't get it installed from factory. Was yours?
We're wondering if it's possible to do ourselves, would you know what we'd need to do it at all?
Is the plug on the rear of HU a normal Auxiliary plug or is it something else? I realise you might not know though, I doubt you've pulled your dash apart yet -We're going to go out and do that now lol!
Oh and he bought it from Heathcote from a Caucasian older couple. With 110kms for 20G, '07 model... How much was yours, he was wondering, if you don't mind.
Dan.

Hey man, I have no problems with answering your mates questions so long as I know the definite answer.
Auxiliary jack did not come from factory. I don't have it in my wagon. I have never done one before but I don't think it'd be hard to do to be honest. I haven't even touched anything internally on my car yet, so I honestly couldn't tell you yet unfortunately man. So sorry about that. I'm sure you and your mate have investigated this yourself by now though. I will be messing with a few things this weekend though (and may be tomorrow after my club.liberty meet), but none of it has anything to do with the head unit.
Bought from Heathcote = win. Aussies take care of their stuff. My experience anyway. I paid $15,000 for mine and it had, funnily enough, 123,123 km on the clock.
If there's anything I can help you or your mate on just give me a yell man. Convince your mate to join up too!
Not sure your looking to spend this much but if you are, Nengun have a special on Project MU Pads at the moment. Buy a front set and they’ll give you a rear set free.

Might be out of my budget but I will definitely consider them, thanks Aek.

I've sent an email to Tyre Rack and the reply I got was this:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Shipping is $75.37 so your total excluding duties, taxes etc is $176.37.
Please advise.
Thanks.
Cy
I assume it'd be in US dollars, therefore it'd cost me $168.65. That is for the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads. Good deal I assume then?

I've sent the guy you recommended on eBay a message, Hollywood. Keen to hear what he says. I wouldn't mind giving the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads a go though. They receive some pretty good reviews to be honest. And if I can get fronts and rears for about $220, then I'm laughing.

Yeah, well we ended up not pulling apart anything. But I had a search through some forums and found out that some kits called 'xcarlink' and 'anycarlink' do the job for about $120, but also include power outputs for ipods i believe.
Yeah, hopefully it proves to be reliable in the longer run

He should be joining up pretty soon. He's never been on forums before so i suppose he's a bit lazy about it haha.

Sounds good man. I hope everything runs well when you do get around to installing it then.
If that's front and rear sounds alright to me
That price ended up being just for the fronts. US$287.50 is for fronts and rears (US$101 fronts, US$80 rears and US$106.50 shipping) from the same bloke. I think I'm gonna go with CRUISN's recommendation. I have sent him a message on eBay and he is charging US$187.10 for the full car set, plus US$60 shipping (total of US$247.10). He also mentioned that that they can ship two full car sets for the same US$60 shipping price, so if anyone else is interested we can get them together and split the shipping.
If anyone is interested please let me know.
So a small update on a few things I've managed to get done as well as a possible exhaust system I'll be purchasing. I want to get your feedback as well guys so I know I'm making the right choice.
I bought some bits and pieces from a Liberty that Luke (bobbyjimmy) was wrecking and installed them in record time with a few club.liberty members on Wednesday night. Bits include:
- cargo bay tie down
- roof rack covers
- silver trim from either side of the centre console
- ISOFIX covers
- rear cup holder
- glove box
We managed to take off two of the four roof rack mounts that were plaguing me since I bought the car. I'm happy to have two off now, but the other two are still so difficult to remove that I'm seriously thinking of just drilling them out. I'm gonna give it another go today after giving my car a wash so hopefully they stop being stubborn. Silver trim had scuff marks on one side, but I bought both sides and have one in good quality leftover. Might consider giving it away if anyone needs it. After some tampering we managed to replace the rear cup holder. The original one that was there had lost it's spring mechanism and was always opening whenever I accelerated. Just got annoying. The one I have now is perfect and works a treat. Glove box also had a fair few white scuffs so it was replaced. The lock doesn't work as well as the original one so I'll have a look and see whether I can get that adjusted.
Other then that, I'll be giving the car a much needed wash, clay bar and wax. Haven't given it some TLC in some time now.
Now here comes the good bit about my exhaust. I was speaking to the guys at the meet and some showed me how their exhaust sounded. I was surprised to find out that the one I liked best was bought from Best Mufflers in Carlton, and is an Xforce bolt-on exhaust system. Here's a link:
Mild Steel: http://www.bestmuffl...8a1aba57fc3eac0
Stainless Steel: http://www.bestmuffl...8a1aba57fc3eac0
They said that the mild steel would do me fine and would last longer then I'd have the car, and for $495 I really think it's a steal. For an extra $200, would it be beneficial to go for the stainless steel at all? What are your opinions regarding Xforce? Are they a good brand to get?
Thanks for your help guys.

IIRC the kit can be purchased from Subaru for around $120 and can be DIYed.
It may also include the power outlet as well but Im not sure.
I did a bit of a search when I was looking at another 30RB that didn't have it.
