Just like the way it looks.

I really only need basic info, time, date, day etc. Plus stop watch would be handy.

This is what I have now.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon. YIKES!

Video is from Basel World 2014 but its actually here for purchase in 2015. They've also added the Baguette with Diamond inserts for a cool million bones.

I wish I was able to justify spending big on a watch, because I like that one.

that Cal 1 is SWEET! why is it so cheap though? there were a limited edition piece (released 2007) with only 6,000 made and retailed for over 5G's. if its genuine NOS then its the deal of the century but i suspect its a fake. The Calibre 1 was a full manual hand-wound movement but in the listing on that site it ways its automatic. as far as i knowthe only automatics "available" are replicas.

i forgot to post this the other day - i just bought a Mido Baroncelli for those special occasions (sitting at home playing xBox).

ME Jewellers are a secondhand dealer, i'm not sure if the Cal 1 pictured is that exact item professionally photographed or if it's just a picture from Tag itself.

Either way, that explains why so cheap.

Just read that last bit you mentioned, I never would have known any other that info if you hadn't mentioned it.

Although I was never going to buy it, it's good to know that information.

I never really worn a watch apart from a nice dress watch which I only wear when I'm being fancy.
So I've been wanting an everyday watch that can get knocked around at work.
I've actually really grown to like the look of G-Shock watches. So I've been planning to pick one up.
I went into footlocker over the weekend and they had a 20% off store wide. I originally grabbed a duo (analog/digital) in one. Thought it looked amazing. I found it way too difficult to use at night due to the way the backlight light up the watch face and ended up exchanging with another digital watch. Nothing fancy, but does a good job.
I will pick up a nicer, fancy G-Shock at some point (something military looking).
I'm actually really enjoying being able to read the time and date so quickly and not having to crack out my smartphone!Attached File  2015-05-14 22.23.33.jpg   167.75KB   7 downloads

Stührling Original are China specials made for discount retailers. DO NOT believe the original RRP. they're Chinese designed and made, have a fancy name and fairly slick website with high RRPS when they're actually sold almost exclusively through off price online retailers.

some aren't bad looking and aren't of that bad quality but don't get sucked into the quoted RRP's which is B/S. Don't pay more than maybe $120 for their "top end" stuff

Speaking of smart watches I've been rocking the Samsung Gear Live for about a month now and it's been pretty good. It's now my go to watch.

hmm why Sellita movements they ask? Because they are probably the cheapest "swiss" movement they could find. I guess ETA wouldn't supply them anyway and they couldn't afford Soprod. I suppose they look ok for the price and better than a lot of the other crowd funded garbage you see popping up from time to time but don't see why you wouldn't buy tissot, certina even seiko or citizen instead of these.

Just ordered my 2nd Android smart watch. Got an LG Urbane in gold. Should be a nice upgrade from my Samsung gear live as I wanted something that looked more like an actual watch.

Just gotta wait for it to be delivered :/
