This appeared in our local paper. Some bright spark has had the idea to buy the Sydney monorail off them and move it to Newcastle

Ready to drive mate. The way our lives are it would NEVER get done. EVER. As a resto.

He's done up a few in the past, then they got really expensive when he was looking back into them a few years back. But now they are reasonable coin.

THAT IS Posted Image'ing EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see a 4 cylinder engine that looks similar to a mini :)

Very similar to a Mini. Did the Leylands get the 1600? I know the 1275 didn't come in until around '65 so they were all somewhere between 850 - 1100. The later Leylands may have had larger capacity blocks though?

My brother in law's Sprite has a 998 which is again very similar. That era of British cars are all the same :P

Even the dash and dials are all the same as the Sprite haha!

Yeah nice.

Doing some research on them and the 1600 (non- De-lux) seem to have the front disk brakes which is a plus. Drums on all 4 is the worst!

Have some bogan skids. Keep an eye out for the silver LH(?) Torano with [SONIC] plates. That thing has a turbo bigger than a dinner plate.

Sig worthy.

Minis only got up to 1275.

I thought the cooper S was 1275?

Leylands got them in the 1275 LS

My 1275 is out of a Morris 1100S. I have 3 engines. So let me know if I can help with some parts possibly!

The compliance plate does say the original colour was BRG. I prefer red though :P

Here's what I'd love the final result to look like (obv RHD :P)

Too much money to strip and respray. A bit of rust work is needed but it will stay red :)
