Big Bash League. its the local Australian 20/20 comp.

looks like they are both going to get the book thrown at them big time. there was a fair bit of tension going on but it seemed that Warne Pushed it a bit too far and samuels has just snapped and hurled the bat. cant say i blame him though. Shame samuels had to retire hurt, his was smashing them round the park.

Agree with you there. completely uncalled for conduct in any form of the game. sure we all get worked up a bit when playing sports (i sure as hell do at times) but what he did was uncalled for. looks like his getting the book thrown at him

Warne has been charged with four alleged breaches:
* Rule 2.1: Show serious dissent at an umpire's decision
* Rule 2.2: Engage in inappropriate and deliberate physical contact with other players or officials
* Rule 2.5: Throw the ball at or near a player or official in an inappropriate and/or dangerous manner
* Rule 2.6: Use language that is obscene, offensive or of a generally insulting nature to another player, official or spectator

Im a state team coach for the Junior NSW team, and stuff like that does nothing to benefit junior sports at all, doesnt matter the sport, guys like him are role models. last thing i want is one of the kids i coach thinking its alright to do stupid stuff like that and carry on.

Bang on mate. When I had a testosterone overloaded U/18 Country Champs team last year, their conduct was so poor in the last game before the finals that I felt like taking my shirt off and replacing it with a different towns shirt. Had the best team that had been assembled, probably for ten or more years, and they decided to start throwing punches and just general dickhead behaviour - ended up playing the same team in the grand final and lost. I was upset we lost, but still to this day I believe they deserved to lose on the back of their actions in the last general game.

Now they are in mens, just pissing it away. At least two could have gone national. Oh well. Small town syndrome.

Not sure, Mark might know. The way the news is reporting it, Warne or someone on Warne's team got 'grabbed' by Samuels to inhibit their fielding - every news report I've seen shows that as happening first... but I'm not sure.

pretty poor behavior really there. agree with you though. its a shame that people throw things like that away.

ive had a few brain snaps in my youth days. last year missed 2 crucial shots in a national comp that would have seen me make finals so i decided to punch one of the keypads. not my smartest move thats for sure. other than that got a warning once for swearing during a tournament as well. small dumb brain snaps really.

Richo during the first innings when Stars were batting Hussey was running, ran the single and when he got to the bowlers end Samuels grabbed hussey by his shirt to 'prevent' a second run. it was pretty harmless i reckon, even hussey said i should probably thank him cause he stopped me from running myself out. they exchanged a few words at the time as you do and got on with the game.

Warne was the one who decided to drag the incident into the next innings, and IMO fueled the fire and pushed the incident way beyond where it needed to go and caused the blow up. should samuels have thrown the bat? probably not as he is a professional athlete, BUT at the end of the day everyone has their breaking point, and when you have someone give you a nice you and go after you like that then throw a ball at you, cant blame him for snapping.
