Looking good man. Agree. keep the RB26 in a godzilla. If you really feel the need to convert, put something like a 355 stroker in it, keep it in the family.

Hey guys. Wow! Cant believe its been almost a year since Ive updated this thread.
Not all the much has happened in the last 10 months. Just been enjoying the car.
Though in saying that in the last couple of weeks Ive decided something needs to be done about the motor.
So the first thing Ive started with is the radiator. Always had problems with it. After 4 flushes and no cleaner I decided to pull it out and have it cleaned and repainted black. I pick it up tomorrow.
This is what came out from the last flush of the radiator.
While the radiator is out I also decided I should have a look at the water pump.
It looks like its seen better days but all the impellars are still there. Will be getting a better answer from my mechanic tomorrow.
On another disapointing note some old interior doors from our house fell on the passenger door from some strong winds a couple of weeks ago and damaged it.
Will be getting the door repaired and the aireal moved back to the front quater panel
Cheers
Chris

Chris,
You need a new pump. Pointless putting that heap of junk back on.
Get a pump with an impeller that looks like this...
Cast impeller.
The pressed steel impellers like the one you have do not pump as efficiently and cause cavitation when working hard, plus the blades rust reducing pumping efficiency.
Spewing about the door.
If the car is original paint, maybe you could have it PDR repaired?

This x 100000000. Never put a pressed sheet metal impeller on anything.
Don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions or need any parts haha

Cheers man. Yeah she sure does.
Went ahead and bought a new cast impeller and new alternator belt.
Also took the radiator to my local radiator specialist. Had it cleaned and found out she was 40% blocked. Also had it repainted as well.
Did an oil and filter change as well as new coolant and boy what a change. Having the radiator cleaned is what the car has needed for ages.

Did you flush the engine block/heater again and fit a new thermostat?
