There is a bloke in Ballarat who does HQ part reproduction. His door lock gaskets are near perfect OEM fit and are cheap.
If you want his deets, let me know.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Ok so i figured out was wrong with the foot park brake. A very small spring had gone missing with held down the lever which then in turn clicked into each little teeth on the actual mechanism lol. Dont actually know there proper names but it all makes sense to myself and it was a cheap fix. Cost me nothing.

All I have left to do know is fix my high beams and get the front seats re uphlosted.

Some pics after a wash :D

Looking good.

These things have a 'flip flop' type relay for the Hi/Lo beams mounted on the inner guard behind the RH headlamp.

Does it click?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Looks schmick!
Torana's are pretty awesome cars :)

My Uncle has an obsession and it kinda runs in the blood. He owns 5 LJ GTR XU1's, 2 are Bathurst Edition's, 1 has been converted in to a drag car. He also has a A9X that he just restored and a SLR 5000 that he races in the Historic Car Championships :)

So you can see where the love of Torana's comes from haha.

I think he paid like $100k each for the Bathurst Edition's :nea:

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Cheers guys. Yeah they are a pretty cool car.

Update:

Changed the fuel filter over the weekend. Needed to be changed badly and has already made a big difference with the new one in.

Though once id changed that, it decided that it was going to start leaking fuel out of the fuel pump. It was coming out of the thread on the little elbow that then goes up the front of the motor to the fuel filter.

Got to it tonight and undid the steel line connected to it and was able to wined it in two more times which made it nice and tight without going crazy. Reconnected the steel line and perfect... No leakes!! Yay!!

Not much else has happened to it as ive been paying off my mechanic for the work his done and also doing stuff to my daily.

Was given this for chrissy so ill be putting this on the car too. VERY VERY LOUD horn.

Well today I took the seats out of the car. Taking them tomorrow to the upholster to get the backs cleaned and the bases re upholsted.
Cant wait to see what theyll look like all done.

There the original seat. So in terms of things there not too bad in the way of condition

When I took the drivers seat out I found broken glass under the seat from when the drivers window was smashed and the car was stolen back in the late 90's.

Very nice. By re-upholstered I assume you're keeping the exact same colour scheme?

+1 on the security system you've got there. Ha ha. Not over done at all. ;)

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Yeah man I am. I'm able to get exact matches in the way of colour and pattern.

Lol yeah. Theres also an immobiliser in the centre just near the gear stick that you have to put this special key in to be able to start it

Ha ha, nice man. I'd hate for it to get stolen again. You can never be too safe nowadays.

SO... I finally got the seats back from the motor trimmer. And boy what a difference. They came up fantastic!!!

So Ive gone from this on both seats

To now this

All I have left to do now is get new tyres for it. Which is easier said than done. The tyres that are on now are 225/60/13's and that size/profile etc are just not made anymore. So the next best profile I can get are 205/60/13's from either Maxxis or Kuhmo or get larger rims which I cant afford lol

So once Ive got new tyres Im able to get the car registered. YAY!!!

Fantastic result with the seats. They look great!

Sucks about the tyres. 225s to 205s are a bit of a difference!

Nice!!!!

You really need 205/65-13 to match the original rolling diameter. The only ones available (and Im going back ten years) in that size were a Bridgestone RE92.
They are apparently made from rubber, but feel like 4 sand/1 cement.

Maybe something like a 195/70-13?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Looks good.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?
