This is an awesome amount of work and effort put in for an equally awesome looking car

I am curious to know how you did that!

Haha, thanks! I'll fix those dates up! Thanks for the really kind words man, after all the work I've put in to this I really feel proud of it all and what the car has become today, and I am glad people can appreciate it in ways that I am also able to appreciate other peoples rides.

who's getting rid of what???? :P

nice car. i like this a lot.

lots of blood, sweat and wagyus here, ay dyl?

Hahaha, I am teh wagyu ninja!

Looking very nice Dylan. The first update pic, just reinforces the fact that Gen2's look 11ty trillion times better than the gen3's. :D

Ha ha,, Thanks Mark matey :) I agree with you, although Will's B4 is a nice gen3 specimen.

You mean the B4 that Brendan built hahaha

I am one gen3 owner who will happily admit the gen2 looks better (at the front) than a gen3 but come on
theres more generations than gen2 and gen3....so why is the gen 2 always compared to the gen3??
Ive never heard anyone compare a gen2 to a gen4 or a gen1??? whats the go??

Gen4's are tight rides, gen4 s2 are the nicer ones and some of them are REALLY really lovely - same goes with all lib's I guess. I've seen some really nice gen1's, I love gen2's (naturally!) and gen3's as I said some are really lovely.

Well guys. Not much really has been done, I discovered a HUGE stone chip on my bonnet :( I am picking up the following in the next few days: - Exedy HD Clutch (Got it for a steal, was going to go OEM but couldn't resist this price) - Fidanza Lightened flywheel (4.7KG as opposed to factory 12KG) - Replaced Up-pipe with factory GC8 item (will eventually buy a HKS one from the U.S. that is the same size as factory) - Bosch timing belt - Genuine Subaru pulley's and water pump, and seals. - Replacement knock sensor Will post up pics of all the work being done over the coming weeks :)

they are prone to cracking with dodgy old flex join in them. HKS is one of the few that retain factory diameter and are solid the whole way.

grinded off the factory headshielding for the new up pipe. she's all apples. not bad for a fiddy. found a GTB grille at this joint today. Had more scars than Sophie Delezio, and the gypsy rodent still wanted $90 for it!

what's it like?

i've heard that they like to rev up freer but lose a bit of torque...?

though i think that's more small displacement motors... and i'm only receiting what i know from GT4... :P

lighter flywheel means less "effort" to change the revs. So yes it will Rev a bit "freer" (LMAO) but will also drop revs like a rock when the clutch is pushed in as the weight in the flywheel wont be able to hold as much energy (momentum). Also the car will loose speed faster while off throttle but in gear for the same reason, therefore it will prolly use a little more fuel for coasting, but less to accelerate.... not enough to be noticable but i dont think. Driving a car with a lightened Flywheel is fun for hard driving, the rev matching is easier while accelerating due to the faster drop in revs and faster gear changes are possible, but for everyday driving its not practicle. Thats my $1.50 worth anyway
