Well yes you can inject the standard 5 port head, you have to fire the injectors backwards into a plenuum chamber, so it works like an electronic carbie. Not what we want. You can't inject a standard head?

Yes I know the late model minis had efi, but this system only works for engines making 100 Hp or less. So once again useless for me as my 1330 cc A series makes 130 Hp.
Check this link - http://www.starchak.ca/efi/siamese.htm
We had a guy here in Vic change the firing order on a 1275, to try and get around this problem, so custom built crankshaft & camshaft. Can you guess how much money he spent to do that ??
Yes it ran, but was very rough, but did not make any more power than using a sidedraft weber.
This guy from Canada tried to make it work, he failed - http://www.starchak.ca/efi/efi.htm

Been a while since we've had any time to work on the MG but today we got stuck in.
Biggest achievement I guess is that the engine is now out! It will get a massive clean over the next week or so and so will the engine bay. It is covered in an amazing amount of grease and grime. The original BRG paint is under it all so it will be interesting to see what it all looks like with a fresh coat next week!
Clutch is also disassembled. Looks in great condition but we'll order another clutch plate just for peace of mind as well as a new thrust bearing.
New front discs are also installed. The old ones were too far gone to restore so they're in the bin. Old calipers were completely brought back to life though which is awesome. They are now fitted too.
Anyway, pics.

Slowly slowly you'll get there, don't worry. It's all about taking the time to perfect things I assume, and not cutting corners.
