Where did the RTA go wrong! Last registered 1 year before I was born.
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

Aftermarket airhorns have been removed
Radiator has been tested and has no leaks
Thermostat has disintegrated and the housing crumbled into my hand!
Will pull the radiator out on Thursday to manually crank the engine to check for bent pistons, sticky lifters, etc.
Parts ordered:
Rear wheel cylinders
Rear wheel assemblies
Brake master cylinder seal kit
Clutch master cylinder seal kit
Master cylinder gaskets
Thermostat
Thermostat housing
Thermostat gasket
Once this is done, we'll hook up a battery, put in some fuel and hopefully we'll be able to drive it up and down the street!

This might sound dumb but will you need to run some of that leaded replacement additive?
Eventually we will. Every 2-3 fill ups we'll have to inject the additive in but for a simple run around the street, regular unleaded will be fine.

Fair chance of rust in the bores or gummed up rings/broken rings.
If you have broken rings, lots of damage will be done !!
Have ya done a comp test yet ???

Took the rocker cover off to examine the innards. After 27 years, only one valve was stuck open! Not bad

There was heaps of corrosion and rust in the bores so no wonder it wouldn't move! After some sanding back, it was looking fresh and the pistons were in motion. The valve is still stuck open though on the head so that will be stripped down and rebuilt by a pro in the next few weeks.
We also pulled apart the rear drum brakes and replaced the cylinders. The old ones didn't look too bad but when it comes to braking, you don't want to wig out! Along with that, we installed new brake and clutch master cylinder kits/seals/springs/fluids. The clutch seems to be working now but having troubles with the brakes... There's no spring back on the pedal and nothing came out when we bled the system. There may be some sort of blockage somewhere but we ran out of time for today.
Thermostat housing and thermostat were taken off. My goodness that thing was fused on! The aluminum had corroded so bad that the housing just crumbled in our hands! So much gunk in the system too - will flush that out real good when the head goes back on.
One carby seems to be ok and the other gets a little stuck. Hopefully with a little adjustments it'll be apples. Need new filters though.
Other things to note. Water pump spins freely, radiator holds fluid and rad hoses are in top nick. The fan belt was able to be removed but stayed in the same shape

Pics!
Munted thermo housing!

Actually. I lie. Today, I fixed some brake light wiring and a fuel electrical line.
But that's all!
