Did you have the windows up or down? Cars seem faster when you can hear the wind coming in when you're windows are open. But having said that, you might lose a bit of 'fast-factor' as it interrupts the aerodynamics of the car.

lol i went from a vz 6 to a my12 wrx ,its like black and white,oh about same power but @ least 200kg lighter ,the vz drives like its got flat tyres,no power steering compared to the rexy ,ive been in my bro's my2k rexy with heaps of extra's & mine still feels close to it in stock trim ,its about 168kw @ the wheels but with just a tune you should have at least 180@ wheels, with no add ons ,from what ive heard the gearbox is only good for 230kw @ wheels .that your biggest prob .even @ stock rollin in second youll go from 40 to 100 in a blink of a eye .due to the xtra torque through to 4800 rpm.
