I'm thinking this has probably been covered before, so my apologies but I couldn't find anything on it when I searched so here goes..

Is it possible/easy to mount driving lights in the factory fog positions of a 2000 Outback? If so, has anyone done a write-up on this sort of thing? Also open to suggestions on what type of driving lights you guys think are best?

Cheers! :)

A bit confused here... You're looking to replace your foglights with driving lights?

Isn't that trying to kill fire with fire?

If you are fitting driving lights to improve night driving, you may find that the fog light position too low to be effective.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Hi,

And, if you angle them up, you'll get pulled over the first time you drive past the constabulary.

Cheers,

As most of you probably know, the OEM foggies are fairly useless... or maybe that's just mine. I want to put driving lights on the car and I thought that would be a nice stealth place to put them.. And I never really use the foggies anyway. Thanks for your thoughts guys! :)

Yeah don't bother.

You won't notice any change, there will be no change to the look of your car (it will probably look worse because your factory foglights are made to fit in the factory positions), and if you get caught with them on when you're not supposed to, you'll still get fined.
