Also. We had a stray cat when we bought the house. Turns out it ran away when the owners were moving, got lost. Ended up at our house, had been missing for weeks. But it was microchipped.
Ahh dungie!
Will see what happens when we take it to the vet... don't want to take it in the B4... leather seats.... so will wait till I can steal my sister's ute..

It won't work on your PC if your PC is 32 bit.
I am the anti-nerd and even I know you need a 64-bit to do anything worth while these days. None of my computers are 32...
Hey Niko, hope all's well over on the west side. Thanks, that's pretty much exactly what I was thinking.... great minds think alike!!
Indeed mate. All is well at my end, just cruising along. Making beer today and picking grapes tonight!
GOOD LUCK GETTING THAT CAMERA, NIK!
Why do you say that? Do they normally bash out really quickly?

Smart man.
And yes. You might have some time. Apple products would be gone in 5 seconds flat
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

I think the dog is a scam dog that just wanted a free feed and a pat.
Nigerian prince dog that works on an oil rig?

You could be right there... LOL!I think the dog is a scam dog that just wanted a free feed and a pat.
We leave the side door open so he can go if he wants, but when he does he just comes back to the front door and sits there... lol...
Anyway, will see what the vet has to say when we take him there... now I have to go get dog food after work...

Yeah they do! The free ones go mental. And the thing is, you have to be on all day to know what time it comes up.
Pain in the ass. But worth it if you get it!

Cheers for the heads up, didn't know it worked like that.
@Ziggie
Taking it to the vet is the same as taking it to the pound, just so you know.
Most vets will just tell you to take it to the council anyway, especially if it's not injured. Strays are not the responsibility of Veterinarians in NSW.

Awww.. dont' say that... we wanted to take it to the vet to see if it has a chip they can scan... also, it seems to have a bit of trouble getting up and stuff, so probably has a hip problem or is just weak...

Wife doesn't want to see it put down, which she thinks the pound will do if they get hold of it...

WHAT DOES A PERSON DO WITH A STRAY OR "SEIZED" ANIMAL?
A person who seizes a dog or cat under the Companion Animals Act must cause it to be delivered as soon as possible to its owner (if the owner can be identified) or to the council pound or other authorised council officer (eg ranger) (section 62). A person who does not comply with this is guilty of an offence and may be liable for a penalty of up to $2200. Strictly speaking, delivering an uninjured animal seized under the Companion Animals Act to a vet is an offence. However, it is acknowledged that in practice many people deliver animals to their local vet surgery because it is not practicable for them to deliver the animal to a pound (eg they can walk to the vet and may not have a car to transport the animal to the pound). In this circumstance, a vet may choose not to accept the animal (which is, strictly speaking, complying with the Companion Animals Act) and advise the person to call the council ranger or take it to the council pound. If the vet does choose to accept the animal, they do so in the same context as "any person" under the Act, and must return the animal to its owner or contact the council as soon as possible. Vets should not undertake to hold the animal and re-house it themselves - there is no legal basis for the vet to give the animal to a new owner and if the original owner should come forward at some future time a vet may find themselves subject to civil legal action.
Awww.. dont' say that...
I'm just being realistic. Even if the vet takes the dog, they'll just call the ranger anyway, they can't just keep it!
