So guys...

Random dog turned up at my doorstep this morning... think it was outside the house all night....

Been out for a while... got sores on its body, kinda thin, but its a big dog, thinking ridgeback cross kelpie or something...

It is in our backyard now, wife is feeding it and stuff, but what do we do?

Call a local vet or take it to the pound.

Most dogs are micro chipped these days.

Yeah take it to the Vet Zac. If its microchipped they will find the owner.
 


I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Actually good idea to call the Vet... wife is not cool with calling the pound coz she doesn't want to see the dog get put down... but sister came around and said dog has been out for a while.. more than 2 weeks... hasn't been picked up or found by owners, so might not be a good sign... but yeah, will check with a vet

Yeah puppy pic.

The vet will sort it. If not, it might be a case of pound or keep.

We had a dumped kitten run over to us from a drain when we were at the river to go skiing. Took it to the vet and I left my number with them. 2 weeks later I got a phone call from the pound saying no one had picked her up and would I like her. So I went and picked her up.


Friendliest cat ever.

I detest cats so much, but sounds like you did a good thing mate! I don't understand people who get a pet and then dump it later when they decide that they no longer want it.

I'm tempted for $150!

Problem will be, if it's good enough to use in the shed where your gear is. The hero 2 isn't great in low light. So check out some reviews!

only downside is its $150 out of my savings for my new canon 70D, but would be worthit!

Also. We had a stray cat when we bought the house. Turns out it ran away when the owners were moving, got lost. Ended up at our house, had been missing for weeks. But it was microchipped.

Ahh dungie!

Not a cat person but that sounds & looks like a nice puddy.
Cats never come to me when I call them, guess he chose you as his person.

I had an Eastern long neck turtle show up in the back yard a while back. He was a dude.

The only thing I don't like about Cats is they're attention seeking bastards haha, or maybe that's just my cat.
If I'm giving her attention and I get text, when I go to reply to the text, she nudges the phone outta my hand... little sh*t :P

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
