For anything at the moment!

Cam, if you open up a shop, I'll definitely be a customer. It's all about who you know and whether they do good work or not. You, my friend, seem to do top notch stuff.

I do 38 hours a week, and work a nine day fortnight.... My job isn't hard at all, but it sucks. Because trainee money.

We are a busy workshop, Everything gets sent to us, I don't mind the money. Always helps.

Thanks mate.

I want to start my own shop. Rebuilding heavy machinery pumps. Good money to be had.
My girlfriend's dad wants to get behind me 100%. (He currently owns a generator and heavy machinery hire business) and could use my shop to his advantage. Just gotta figure out if that's what i want to do in the future. (I don't want to get bored)

I would love to be a Subaru specialist, Could always have a few hoists in the workshop ;)

I love my work. Top notch, Everything has to be 110% no matter what and clean. I hate mess, Even if I'm working on a dirty big bus. Everything looks brand new when I'm done :P

I only really 'know' one Subaru specialist, and he said that the worst thing about it is Subaru themselves, having to deal with them, and their constant threats about using the Subaru name in any way on advertising material etc. etc. They are trying to stop people from saying 'Subie' and any other spellings that come out sounding the same as 'subie/sooby/scooby' etc.

Just a random input from Nik.

:)

Yep. Bradstreet parts (Subaru ect) don't sell to Autocraft (Local Subaru specialist) in Newcastle.

Because once warrantys run out, That's where they go.

HATE dealing with Subaru.

Well you know what you're doing man, I'd go for it. You won't know if you love it till you try it. Nothing stopping you from doing something else later down the track man. I've had a similar experience with past jobs and doing courses at TAFE and what not. I'm even looking at going to university now...

May be even the Open Universities Australia and doing it by correspondence.

It's easy work. Replace o-rings, Replacing diaphragms, Powdercoat and send back to the customer.

Sydney Diesel has most of the market though.

Yes Garry, Ichiban use genuine parts (filters etc) and OEM+ items like exedy HD clutches etc. If they aren't using the Genuine Item, it'll be for a reason. They are 'proper' Subaru specialists...i.e. they actually know what works/fits/lasts longest/has best warranty etc.
